A bride elect Miss Alisia received a rose petal shower at the We Namiquit club rooms on Monday evening. Guests, about 40, enjoyed yellow and white decorations, candles, and a collation while sister Anna Joseph oversaw setup. Gifts included whistles and candy baskets as well wishes poured in for her future. A follow up supper is planned next Monday evening by her coworkers.
Michael Fleming 82 a Rhode Island Cavalry veteran and Civil War comrade died at the Soldiers Home after long illness. A New York City native who moved to Providence as a youth he later settled in Butte Montana for nearly four decades as a prospector. He leaves sister Miss Catherine Fleming of Providence. Funeral held today at St Patrick's Church with mass of requiem and burial in St Francis Cemetery Pawtucket.
Supt George J O'Brien announces Warren residents Theresa Haflinger Florence Goggin and Sarah Upton will judge the baby show on the common at 3 o clock next Wednesday afternoon.
The Nassie family, famed Albanian born musicians now based in the U S, will perform at the Union Church of Prudence concert. Thomas Nassie a Boston Conservatory graduate leads flute solos with his children Albert Philip and Madeline joining, plus Mrs Nass on piano and mandolin. The Brockton Band backs the program as funds are raised for the hillside church.
