Bristol Records Heat Peak As Thermometers Hit Ninety Two

Bristol endured an unusually hot spell with records in the town reaching 92 around 2 pm on Wednesday while citythermometers neared 95. Prostrations and a few deaths were noted as a hot front pressed in though a cooling southwesterly breeze later eased conditions. Waterfront areas along the harbor offered relief as bathers gathered at the shore and public bath facilities.
