Charles B Rockwell president of the Allendale Co North Providence received a 50 year pin at the company outing held at the Wagon Wheel Chepachet. Walter Metcalf presented the award recognizing fifty years of leadership in the textile field. Mrs Rockwell received a bouquet of gladioli as about 140 employees enjoyed a day of activities including a chicken barbecue.

Speeding fines and district court pleas in Bristol area
A Bristol district court session saw Hipolito DePina fined 50 after pleading no contest to reckless driving. Antonio Nunez and Dion Perron faced lighter actions for traffic or malicious mischief incidents, while Richard Smith’s case was continued.
