Dr Francis Close Retires From Optometry After 54 Years
Bristol remembers Dr Francis N Close who retires at 83 ending a 54 year career as Rhode Island's oldest practicing optometrist. He treated Bristol residents on Saturdays in Conley's Jewelry Store Hope Street while based in Providence. He passed boards in 1914 opened 1923 in Providence and served RI Optometric Association including a 1962 citation as oldest continuous member. He lives in Warwick.
League To Hold Final Meeting In Bristol
