Sunday noon saw the 37 foot Carrier founder and sink in Mt Hope Bay near Common Fence Point. J s Benn owner of the quahog dredger vessel was ashore after salvage efforts. salvage work is underway with CG buoy WRC marking the wreck and a Bristol yard fleet resuming launches for the season.

Japanese Student Compares Schools At Bristol PTA Meeting
A Bristol PTA gathering heard Miss Michiko Ohra of Kobe Japan compare Japanese and American education noting fewer vacations and stricter compulsory schooling in Japan. The meeting at Reynolds School also discussed a cleanup campaign starting April 28 and possible financial aid for high school students to attend a national council event in Roswell NM on June 17.
