Sailors fined in district court for Thames street revelling
Three Newport sailors Harold Neihaus Jack Holden and Donald Nardacci all of naval vessels pleaded guilty and were fined $10 and costs after a late night revelling on Thames street. The incident followed a fight with eight sailors. Sgt. Euclid Demars testified to drinking. About 1 20 a m they were locked up. five others fled. Case against Marvin Brooks continued for a week. Civil docket items include several negligence and assumpsit actions with various continuances and judgments against defendants.
