A friend used thrifted furniture to furnish two extra rooms in a large old house. She chose a French blue and white scheme for one room and gray and old rose for the other. She painted furniture, hung blue mascar curtains, added blue accents, and used inexpensive reproductions to create cohesive, attractive spaces.
