Coolidge Dawes Coolness Hinted in Discourse on 1929
Continued discussion among reporters and associates suggests President Coolidge will not seek re nomination under any circumstances though some holdouts cling to the idea he might accept if urged by renomination. Kellogg will carry administration messages at Buffalo peace bridge ceremonies with Vice President Dawes present, while Coolidge remains noncommittal and watches developments. A rural farming rally followed as Sargent praised crops, and Montanan Shelley affirmed state support if Coolidge runs. An editorials note a home made Williams Root Beer ad ends the page.
