Offat's Bayou Speckled Trout Hub in Galveston

The 3 mile by 1 mile waterway deepened after the 1900 storm now hosts peak runs December to February with 2–3 pound fish common and occasional 5 to 9 pounders. The bayou also yields flounders and redfish while seasonal boat, skiff, and wader activity shifts with cold fronts toward the Gulf.
