Brady High Band Heads to Abilene for Contests
The Brady High School Bulldog Band will depart for Abilene Friday morning to enter Region II Interscholastic League band contests at McMurry College. Under Boyd Hunt they perform at 4 20 p m for concert then are judged on sight reading. They earned a first division in December San Angelo marching contests. A sax quartet and two soloists Jeanette St Clair and Robert Carmichael will also be rated with quartet members Betty Woodard Robert Carmichael Micky Jo Mills and Witham Lawrence.

A root plowing and seeding demonstration is planned for 9 50 a m Monday April 30 on the O J Scoggin place east of Rochelle on the Deep Creek road opposite Dam Site No 3 on the Speegle ranch. The San Saba Brady Soil Conservation district sponsors it and Central Texas Machinery Co Abilene provides equipment.
