The Buffalo Springs area received two inches of rain with wind and a strong electrical storm but no injuries or major damage. Residents hosted guests from Fort Worth and Wichita Falls attended weekends activities including rodeos and church events. Rites Held for Mrs Pearl Denham at Throckmorton
Funeral services for Mrs Pearl Denham 73 mother of Ernest Denham of Bowie were held at First Baptist Church Throckmorton with Rev Hollie Briscoe officiating. She died Thursday night in a Throckmorton hospital after a long illness. Born February 28 1892 in Comanche County Texas she lived in Throckmorton County 53 years. Survivors include five sons Guy Wichita Falls Edwin Borger Ernest Bowie Clyde Richardson Marvin Booker four daughters Lois McCarson Galion Alabama Blanche Hughes Wickett Joe McCarson Houston Peggy Bibb Perryton a brother F R McLeod Denver a sister Myrtle Tatum Logan New Mexico 24 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Montague County farmers can profit by cleaning storage bins before storing the 1965 small grain crop. Old grain and debris should be removed, bins sprayed with malathion or metoxychlor, and grain stored sound with 12 percent moisture or less to reduce insect problems.
