The Harvard Gold Coast area loses its senior residents as the class of 1914 no longer rents the Mt. Auburn Street apartments. Seniors who traditionally live in Harvard Yard during their final year have not remained in the filt-edged housing, marking a shift in campus custom.

Francis Bartlett Dies at 78 in Beverly Farms

Francis Bartlett prominent Boston financier and lawyer died yesterday afternoon at his Beverly Farms summer home. He was 77 or 78, died of old age after a year of illness leaving him an invalid. Bartlett funded major gifts to the Museum of Fine Arts including the Francis Bartlett Collection of Classical Antiquities valued at about 1.48 million dollars and a Chicago property leased to the museum. Funeral services will be at Mt. Auburn Chapel with burial at Mt. Auburn.

Miss Brewers Arrest Being Investigated In Chelsea Case

A police official stated an inquiry is underway into the arrest in Charles town of Ella Brewer of Chelsea daughter of a Boston elevator manufacturer on a charge of drunkenness. She appeared in court the day after and was freed after part of the testimony.

Man Arrested for Alleged Illegal Voting Attempt

John A Cahalan of Dorchester was arrested at Precinct 3 Ward 4 for allegedly attempting to vote in his uncle’s name Timothy Cahalan. The incident occurred yesterday forenoon at Field's Corner Police Station. A newspaper notice mentions James Montgomery Flagg's Faith Hope and Charity to appear next Sunday in The Post as a featured series.
