Styles of Winter Fabrics and Outdoor Garments for Children
An old fashion notice highlights gloves, fabrics, and garments for winter youngsters. It reviews fashionable out door coats and wraps from Messrs. L. K. Hellander & Co., describing cadet blue Bedford cord outfits, plush capes, and surah linings, with mentions of French novelles, Jacquard plaids, camel hair, and pale blue ribbon accents. It notes new fall and winter fabrics at Messrs. R. & J. Gilchrist, including broadcloth, chenille like cloth, and diverging styles for ladies and children. It also surveys trends such as wide ribbon ties, chiffon neck wraps, and Japanese lace entering England, plus a flourish of antiquated jewelry returning to fashion.
