John H. Pray, Sons & Co. ordered large quantities of French laces before the tariff. They now display one of the largest assortments of Honiton and Renaisance laces, offering very low prices in this city.
The Fifth Regiment Infantry M. V. M. officers met for dinner last evening with sixty five in attendance. Colonel J. H. Whitney presided while General W. A. Bancroft and Major R. B. Edes attended as guests.
A report from Winsted Connecticut says Nathaniel Moseley, sought for the murder of George T. Spencer of Hartsville Massachusetts, is hiding near his brother’s Barkhamstead residence. Officers have the house under surveillance after Moseley reportedly traveled over thirty miles through woods from Hartsville to Barkhamstead.
Eugene V. Debs founder of the Social Democracy of America will reach Boston tomorrow morning and address attendees at Faneuil Hall Monday evening. He will be greeted at the depot by the Boston Social Democracy branch members.
