Dryden Nominated by South Boston Republicans for Senator

George Dryden of Ward 15 was nominated by the South Boston Republicans for senator. The district committee consisting of Walter Rice Ward 13 John F Perkins Ward 14 and William Sears Ward 15 made the nomination. The convention discussed at John H Means's house after a Monday night meeting. Dryden had four votes of 19 at the Monday session. Frank R Fitzgerald and Representative Toomey were considered but declined. Ex Alderman Milton C Paige also declined.
