Fleet of Coastwise Steamers Moves Amid Fog and Freight

A fogbound afternoon in the harbor saw a procession of steamers from Baltimore New York Philadelphia and elsewhere. Vessels including the Dorchester Howard Kershaw and Evandale carried large cotton and sugar cargos while the Prince George and Francey two more ships reached Yarmouth and Boston. Local crews expected continued steady work from Merchants and Miners during the year as ships like the Myles Standish and George W Clyde were noted in port or under repair.
