Woman Aims Axe at Emperor William in Breslau
Breslau Nov 16 A woman named Zelma Schnapke hurled a short axe at Emperor William as he rode in an open carriage toward the Cuirassier Barracks with the hereditary Prince of Saxe Meiningen. The axe struck the carriage but the speed of the carriage saved the royals. Police quickly seized the attacker who was deemed sane after provisional examination. The emperor was later cheered returning to the station.

McNary secretary of the Democratic State committee at 167 Km street South Boston suffered upwards of 700 dollars in damage from an overheated furnace fire discovered at 5 0 p m. The blaze damaged lower floor woodwork and partitions while bric a brac and McNary's library were saved by quick protection from the fire association. All valuables were insured and the house was watched after the blaze was put out by special watchmen from the Boston Pro.
