Boy Falls to Death at Roxbury Elevator Shaft
Joseph J. Lynch, 17, of 121 Shirley Street Roxbury employed by Clark Manufacturing at 24a Summer Street fell seven stories into an elevator shaft yesterday morning. He landed on his head and was killed instantly while beginning his eighth day of work. An investigation found he reached for the car cable at the eighth floor, lost balance, and fell to the basement. Medical Examiner Magrath viewed the body and it was sent to the North Grove street morgue.
