McCombs to Wed in London

William F. McCombs, Democratic national committee chairman, will marry Dorothy Williams in London tomorrow. Williams, sister of Mrs. Joseph Lester, traveled from Washington aboard the yacht Niagara on a world cruise and the couple's union stirs diplomatic and political circles. McCombs, long abroad after the election, is viewed as a leading candidate for ambassador to France, a post once declined but now held open for him on Wilson's request.

The committee split along party lines over note redemption in gold and the structure of regional banks. Senators Reed and Hitchcock joined Republicans to favor publicly owned, government controlled regional banks. O Gorman aligned with them to drop lawful money from redemption.
