Boasts of murder must serve for life

William Perkins, held in Belleville jail, was taken to Atlanta to serve a life term for murder after boasting of killing a man and escaping from a Georgia chain gang. He was convicted in Belleville of assault with intent to kill and later boasted of the homicide and escape. Georgia authorities were notified.
