Mrs Tolman Hurt In Canton Car Crash Near Boston

Mrs Gilbert Tolman of Rockland Street Canton wife of a Boston leather merchant was thrown nearly 20 feet when her car collided with a Canton driver's car on Central Street Stoughton. She suffered a broken nose scalp wounds and bruises. Her husband and two sons rode with her. all but the eldest were less injured. Mrs Tolman remained unconscious for two hours but later rested comfortably.

A four year old girl, Eleanor Frances Brophy, daughter of Mr and Mrs Martin Brophy of 177 Cabot Street Roxbury, was hit by a touring car near her home yesterday afternoon. She was thrown about ten feet and is suffering bruises and a mouth and nose hemorrhage. recovery considered doubtful.

In South Manchester Connecticut on May 30 a game of tag led to a fatal accident when an automobile driven by Dr. H. P. Sharpe struck 10 year old Edward Hergedon killing him instantly and seriously injuring 12 year old James McDuff who remains in a Hartford hospital in precarious condition. McDuff was chased while "it" into the street and failed to notice the oncoming car.

Wealthy Lynn leather maker dies in auto accident

John C. Hamley aged 60, a prominent cut sole and leather manufacturer of Lynn, died yesterday afternoon in his automobile while riding from the Nahant Yacht Club to his summer residence. His son John W. Hamley, who was driving, noticed illness but thought it a recurrence of a recent attack. Hamley had run his business in Lynn for 26 years and was a leading local figure.

State-wide Boilermakers Strike Planned Over Wage Increase

National and local leaders formalized plans for a state-wide strike by boilermakers and ship builders. Philadelphia police detain missing girl tied to Boston social link

A girl visiting Philadelphia with a man named Williams was found boarding with him and held for unpaid shop purchases. Her father, Mr Howe, arrived and took her home, while Williams was sent back to Philadelphia to face charges for stealing Mrs Helen B Clayton of Haverford Pa.
