Boy Bandit Apprehended After Arm Robbery Attempt

Michael Katz, a 1930 Washington Street cobbler, watched as 17 year old Arthur V McLaughlin drew a revolver and demanded cash at 6 30 last night. He backed the old man into a doorway and threatened to shoot but fled after realizing there was nothing to take. Katz alerted police and Patrolman Maguire of Station 9, nearby, halted the suspect.
