About 200 members of the Massachusetts Hotel Association staged a moving dining event in Boston. They traveled by auto to venues including the Copley Square Hotel United States Hotel American House and the Somerset ending with a one ring circus in the ballroom. William W. Davis served as ringmaster opening with a welcome speech.
At the annual meeting of United Improvement Association 17 subordinate groups supported extending the Boylston street subway to Postoffice square instead of Fark street. The vote was unanimous. Walter Meville a 16 year old of 34 School street Everett narrowly escaped death when a heavy express wagon owned by Thurston Express Company and driven by Robert Elliott of 122 Chelsea street Everett ran over him. He suffered a four inch gash on his left shoulder and no other injuries.
Mrs. Cora M. Spear of Malden filed suit in Suffolk Superior Court seeking 10000 against Mrs. Maud E. Dodge of Revere alleging she alienated the affections of her husband George E. Spear who eloped with Dodge after a prior marriage and divorce.

More than two hundred building trades workers return to work after a strike at Commonwealth Pier South Boston ended at a conference between H P Converse Co and union representatives. The accord, not fully disclosed, is understood to require union-only employment for future elevator installation work.
Mayor James Chambers of Everett told Cochran Chemical Works workers on strike over a $1.80 daily wage that he would help them win. The mass meeting was attended by 700 strikers and sympathizers at Whittier Hall in Everett last night.
