Stallings Shapes Braves Pitching in Camp at Athens

In Athens on March 11 the Braves held a long morning drill on Stallings Field then a shortened afternoon workout. Stallings focused on pitching mechanics with Brown, Devost, Calhoun, Sweeney and Smith assisting. A 4 inning afternoon game featured James’s strong pitching and Calhoun’s two base hit as fans cheered for the former university star.

Dorchester High swimming team defeated Boston Latin 28 to 20 in a Curtis Hall pool meet in Jamaica Plain yesterday afternoon. Mayor’s sons Thomas and John Fitzgerald helped by placing in the 60 and 25 yard events and in the relay. Several hundred students witnessed the event with a large Dorchester crowd.
