In a family statement a father confirms consent for his 19 year old daughter Miss Campbell to wed Stearns son of a Wyoming manufacturer. Reports say they eloped or married recently with hints of a Bridgeport ceremony, while both left town with belongings sent to Dayton and Stearns’s college items home.
K A Downey a two year old connected with a Worcester family died by his own action in Dr F W Edwards office on Hamilton Street at about 9 o'clock tonight after morphine was refused.
Ernest Horne, 15, of 99 Warwick Street Roxbury is under arrest at Roxbury Crossing police station charged with robbery. Officer John P. Hoar of Station 10 captured him after a chase at about 10 30 last night. He is identified as the man who throttled shopper Miss Sara Rock on Washington Street and snatched her handbag minutes earlier.
Miss Rock, 20, identifies young Horne as the thief who snatched a handbag on Ruggles Street. Officer Hoar pursued and captured him after a 200 yard chase ending in a blind alley. The bag with 2.52 was later found and returned. Horne faces court while Florne, a Halifax native, recently released from Rainsford Island after a year for larceny.
The Daily Citizen says an afternoon attempt to set fire to the British Museum occurred in London. Officials found half burned rags soaked in oil in a room but no clues to the culprits.
Dr. Friedrich F. Friedmann of Berlin demonstrated his tuberculosis treatment on 56 patients at the Royal Edward Institute in Montreal. The event occurred today before a gathering of physicians.
Dr Friedmann led a large demonstration in Montreal treating 49 patients in a single day after an initial 7 patients and a morning briefing. Cases spanned pulmonary glandular and bone TB with ages from 14 months to about 50, using intravenous vaccine injections and some intra muscular doses. A 14 month old required a neck vein injection due to tiny arm vessels.
Police clash as girl pickets confront non union workers on Washington Street near Hollis. Twelve women are arrested including Lena Miller Rose Romenski Molly Yanez Pauline Block Anna Silbert Rebecca Shuboff Ida Ruben Pearl Rutner Edith Ruben Pauline Lottenberg Fannie Stone Ida Munski.
In a Democratic landslide at Cambridge's annual election Mayor J Ed ward Barry defeated Arthur F Blanchard to secure a third term. Only General William A Bancroft has held three Cambridge mayoral terms in the city's history.
In a tight school committee battle Democrat majorities swept the Board of Aldermen and most Council seats. Dr. Leo T. Myles beat Flor ence Whitman by 80 votes amid strong female turnout across North Cambridge wards. A recount may follow amid high interest.

Rev Rufus B Tobey and council members say public misrepresentation of the park and Downs church strife caused by national Congregational leaders. Boynton received transfer from Park and Downs to Rev Howard L Torbet’s church in Revere, with only two of 40 members dissenting.
Harold F. Eastman Clesson Bragg and Edward Patenode escaped from the county jail last night by overpowering the turnkey and taking the keys. They were captured this afternoon at Winchester after traveling from KBHENE New Hampshire where two of them have relatives. All three were held for the grand jury.
Senator John J. McDevitt is sentenced by the Senate committee on rules to stand and receive a reprimand from the president. He is suspended until May 2 and no pay during suspension unless he makes a written apology. He has been advised to resign and is considering the matter after discussions with several advising Senators.
The order will deliver the reprimand once adopted. If McDevitt is absent, the order can compel his presence and arrest him if needed. The case is described as one of the most remarkable incidents in recent history, with past contempt threats noted but not pursued.

Just before 6 pm a near riot erupted before 780 Washington Street as about a score of picketing garment workers confronted non union women leaving shirtwaist and dressmaking shops. Police contained the crowd of nearly 1000, arresting a dozen women for assault while deterring further violence with clubs.
Sergeant Barry and about a dozen officers guarded 786 Washington Street from 5 to 6 pm amid tense mood. Several hundred spectators lined the sidewalks as nonunion women workers from shirtwaist and dressmaking shops left work. Pickets walked in pairs along the storefronts.
