Mrs. Jessie Malloy aged 69 a Roxbury widow living alone at 15 Rockingham Place was found dead in bed by neighbors last night. Medical Examiner Watters ruled death from natural causes.

Blaze devastates Malden Y M C A causing major damage

A noon fire at the Malden Y M C A injured two firefighters and caused about 50 000 in damage with total property loss estimated at 200 000. The trunk room on the fourth floor caught fire spreading to the fifth as St Clair English raised the alarm and Deputy Chief Nicholls ordered a citywide second alarm. The fire damaged a millinery shop a jewelry store and banking offices while firefighters contained the blaze to interior spaces.

The New York Yacht Club votes 40 to 0 to reject Sir Thomas Lipton’s challenge over the deed of gift rule requiring 65 to 75 feet waterline.
