Dr E H Bradford of Harvard Medical School warned in a lecture that the food may become poison if eaten in excess and that the New England type has grown stout and prone to overeating over 40 years. He urged ventilated houses like Indian tents and said men live longer if they sawed wood daily while women should scrub floors or use the wash tub.

Bandits In Auto Steal $7000 Gems In Broadway Hold Up

New York detectives hunted three man bandits after they held up a Broadway jeweller in the white light district. They fled in a taxicab with a tray of jewels worth 7000 dollars but abandoned the car, two suspects escaping. Moses Bach identified the taxi driver George G. Ferguson as taking part, with William Anderes also arrested.

In Washington on March 3 fifty hundred women are expected to march from Peace Monument along Pennsylvania Avenue to the Treasury and Continental Hall for a monster suffrage meeting. Musician Dies En Route to Inaugural Parade

Augustus D. Coyle 60 of 716 Harrison avenue collapsed with apoplexy in Post Office square yesterday afternoon. He died in an ambulance en route to Relief Hospital. A cornetist in the Second Corps Cadet Band, Salem, he was part of a militia detachment headed to the South station for a Washington inaugural parade. Doctor Towle assisted but could not save him. His widow waited at the South station when notified.

Firebug Sets Saco Blaze Fanning City Fire

A March 2 fire in Saco Maine, likely incendiary, left three families homeless and threatened the business district. Snow hindered damage to 5000 dollars. extra police were deployed and a city reward for the arsonist may follow. The fire began in a two story block owned by Haskell Shapiro and damaged nearby shops on Water Street.
