Divorce case reveals false decree paid for in Roxbury

Judge Crosby granted Emma M. Tresp of Roxbury an annulment from Joseph Mellenberg after uncovering a fake divorce decree he paid $200 for in Roxbury. Mellenberg testified he thought a lawyer had secured a valid split, but the document was forged by a man who claimed to arrange immediate divorce. The judge ordered a full investigation with counsel McLean aiding both sides.

Three Die Trying to Save Friends in Lake Accident

Jail Man Hitched Son to Mule in 120 Degree Field

John Freismuth a Campbell area farmer in Lacrosse Wisconsin is charged on a warrant from the State humane office for hitching his 12 year old son Frank to a cultivator with a mule in 120 degree sun. He is expected to be brought to court tomorrow.
