Fire destroys store and church dwelling in Tyngsboro
Tyngsboro June 16 Nelson and Perham s general store and a dwelling owned by the First Congregational Church were destroyed along with damage to the Tyngsboro bridge on the Boston to White Mountains route. The fire caused about 35000 in losses, with bridge damage estimated at 10000. The post office was in the store and all fixtures and mails were saved. Fire is believed sparked by a passing locomotive and bridge traffic is expected to be halted for some time.
