Rescued Twice In Same Day On Plum Island

Newburyport June 15 Twice rescued by the life saving crew on Plum Island in the same day was the record set by a motor boat owned by William Lewis with the owner and four friends aboard. They were swamped twice after leaving Gloucester and were saved first by Captain T. J. Maddock and Leroy Wood, then by a second line rescue before returning to Gloucester.
