Will Be Crippled Private Harrington Shot at Sandwich

Private John A. Harrington of the Ninth Regiment was shot in the spine at Sandwich Sunday by Constable Michael Murphy. He is at City Hospital in a dangerous ward with both legs paralyzed. Murphy was arraigned on assault with a dangerous weapon and held in $200 bail.

Washington July 28 Every Presidential postoffice in the United States will be a postal savings depository on Sept 2 when 174 Presidential postoffices are added to the list by an order of Postmaster General Burleson.
