Telephone firm plans rate rebates abolition in toll service
Officials cite interstate commerce act amendments as justification for ending toll rebates. Extension set installation costs will drop from 12 to 9 dollars for central district lines, and from 9 to 6 dollars for other lines, with rebates ending Sept 1 and higher toll charges appearing in October bills. The move aims to treat all patrons equally and offset toll increases.
