Fred Williams seven colored of 69 Lincoln Street Medford tried to grab a ride on the running board of an automobile driven by Fred Whitman 44 Monument Street Medford. Williams suffered a broken leg and arm and was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital. Whitman carried the boy into a nearby house and left to find a doctor. It was 45 minutes before a physician arrived. Police Officer Manning arrived and temporarily set the arm.
