Storm Damage Mounts Across Machiasport Maine
In Machiasport Maine a storm caused several vessel losses and extensive shore damage. Percy Foster of Rye Beach New Hampshire died. Arthur Davis of Machias is missing. Vessels damaged include the Mildred A Pope Lizzie C Rich Rebecca W Huddell Lyra and a three mast schooner. Kittie yacht sprang a leak and a Gray yacht sunk at Cross Island. Shore damage included a leveled barn and many fish and smoke houses at Cross Island.
