Sacramento July 4 V Verbeck driving a Fiat won the Panama Pacific coast race from Los Angeles to Sacramento with 11 hours 1 minute. Soules in a Cadillac finished second at 11 27 16, Oldfield in a Fiat took third in 11 22 63. Verbeck started 12 17 a m covering 413.6 miles without mishap amid a large finish crowd. Hanshue in an Apperson escaped injury after a ditch mishap near Fresno and continued the race. Willeford helped drive the winning car to Bakersfield before Verbeck relieved him.
