In Provincetown harbor July 1 the fishing fleet including the Charles Tappen Mary Story Spring Kira Joseph Manta James Foster Rebecca Bartlett Gen Scott and Gertie Winsor reported modest catches with most boats under 60 quintals. A June 9 report from Virginia Rocks noted the Grand Janks fleet faring slightly better on Maud B with 160 quintals. The Landseer, captained by Capt Marshall, dated June 2, reported fair results with an average catch around 65,000.
