Live Wire Sets Fire to Trolley in Back Bay Crowd

A live trolley wire detached near 585 Boylston Street Back Bay fell onto an inbound electric car around 7 45 last evening igniting a blaze. About twenty passengers fled in a panic as the car burned but no serious injuries were reported.

An inward bound Allston trolley near Copley square caught fire from a short circuit w ith blue flames and a hiss, forcing passengers to break windows and flee. Firefighters shut off power, crowds watched as bystanders diverted trolleys and a French teacher, Miss Jeanne Huyhe, recounted a harrowing escape and a severe hand wound.

Charges of bad eggs sold in municipal court session

Several respondents faced Judge Bennett in the Municipal Court over pure food law violations. The Standard Egg Company and Bay State Egg Company plus Morris Brown were accused of selling decomposed eggs and await Jan 22 trial. Blackmailer Plot Against Brandegee Family Leads to Shootout

Prisoner in Big Fraud Case Ties Brockton to Theft Ring

Charles Kisloff, 24, of 104 Myrtle Street West End Brockton, arrested by Inspectors Lynch and McCauley. Chief Inspector McGarr hopes to unravel the Joseph Hirshman case, a travelling salesman with over 2000 dollars in furs jewelry and clothing who refuses to talk. Kisloff allegedly hired a Brockton store at 783 Main Street last October and shipped goods by Adams Express to sell without payment. Isaac Ludwig, linked to Kisloff, was arrested by federal authorities for using the mails to defraud and is out on bail awaiting trial.
