Labor board split on injunctions and child labor limits

The special labor commission chaired by Fitchburg's own committee on employer employee relations reported unanimously on sweeping changes but could not agree on injunction and contempt rules in labor disputes. Sterling dissented on injunctions while endorsing most of the report, urging trial by jury rights and opposing court intervention in labor disputes. The body favored limiting child employment to ages above 14 and supporting longer schooling, plus recommendations on wage assignment abuses and wage earners' protections.
