Three Injured After Express and Freight Crash at Myricks

Taunton Massachusetts reports a rear end collision on the New York New Haven and Hartford line at Myricks. Three men on the express engine were injured one seriously Samuel B. Smith among them. Freight cars carrying lumber caught fire but trainmen extinguished the flames. No passengers were seriously hurt. The engineer applied emergency brakes and slowed the train.
