Wealthy Watertown Woman Dies By Gas Suicide

At an inquest in the Waltham District Court Judge Enos T. Luce heard that Mrs. Mary J. Tourtellote of 71 Marshall Street Watertown committed suicide by turning on the gas after locking her room door on November 22 Her death certificate says she was found on her bed fully dressed with a note requesting burial in the same clothes and asking that her bank book be given to her daughter Mrs William A Sawyer The family denied rumors of suicide prior to the inquest
