President Wilson Urges Americans to Leave Mexico

President Wilson warned Americans to depart Mexico at once after addressing Congress. The embassy and consulates were instructed to notify officials across Mexico they would be held responsible for harm to Americans or property. Reports from Mexico City said Huerta remains determined to keep his office as troop movements to the border began tonight.

Carmen Paid Less Than City Laborers

Superintendent George R. Tripp told arbiters that Boston Elevated railway workers face heavier duties over the past decade due to higher speeds more passengers per car denser traffic and more signals. He noted city laborers earn 2.50 a day for eight hours while elevated car men receive 2.30 a day for nine hours and 2.60 after 15 years with Sunday work and Saturday half-holiday.
