Mrs J Wilbur Chapman wife of the noted evangelist has succeeded in reconciling her husband and William R Moody son of Dwight Moody.

New York August 26 Mrs Dr J Wilbur Chapman has settled the quarrel between her husband the eminent evangelist and William R Moody son of the evangelist Dwight L Moody.

In South Deerfield on Aug 26 Mr and Mrs Sherman B Porter of Springfield were instantly killed when their car was struck by an express train at a Boston and Maine crossing. Their chauffeur Frederick W Bennett of Springfield was thrown 100 feet but had only minor injuries. The driver failed to notice the grade crossing.

New York Aug 26 Tammany Hall placed District Attorney Charles S Whitman Republican on its ticket for re election. Murphy said no assurance he would accept. Whitman would decide in two to three days. Acceptance would put his name on all tickets so far.

Andrew Sears, an employee at the Sherborn Reformatory for Women, was attacked by an enraged bull in a barn on the institution grounds. He fought for his life for nearly a half hour, was gored and pinned against the barn wall, and left unconscious and badly bruised on the barn floor.
