Gail Hamilton's funeral was held at her home in Hamilton August 20 with simple rites. Rev. J. C. Nichols and Rev. Temple Cutler led services, choir from Hamilton Congregational Church sang, and Rev. William M. Barbour gave the eulogy. Pallbearers included Dr. Albert Whipple and Arthur W. Chandler. Burial was private in Hamilton cemetery. Miss Dodge's sensational supernatural tale, shaping belief in life after death, was recounted through vivid visions and journeys between worlds.

Freight Yard Accident Claims Boston & Maine Conductor
Rowell Greeley a 53 year old freight conductor for Boston and Maine was struck by a backing locomotive in Charles town while removing cancelled car tags. He survived initial impact but lost consciousness at Massachusetts General Hospital and was not expected to live through the night.
