Mrs Lada Long of Tanner visited her brother Tom Martindale Sunday. Mrs Ida Carmichael and her son traveled to Cincinnati Thursday evening. Everett Moore of Monroe county called on William Garsnett Saturday. William Garsnett and son Raymond went to Solsberry on Wednesday. Basil Bailey of Cincinnati passed through en route to Marion Byers’. John Byers and wife of Little Indiana Creek visited Cincinnati Friday. Sunday visitors at Riley Weaver’s included Mrs Ann Oliphant Claude Oliphant wife and baby Henry Garsnett and Lexie Carmichael.
Sunday gatherings mark community ties with Miss Helen Street at Pearl Lester and Mrs. Ruth Todd's family near John Geddes. Visits include Clara Dove with Anna Dove, Rosa Mitterback in Linton, and Milton Lester family at W. A. Street. Epworth League service slated at Simpson Chapel Sunday night at 7 30.
Dannie Shute and wife visited his parents Sunday while Finis Mitchell of Linton spent Sunday at Freel Bullock’s. Tinker Campbell and wife hosted visitors, Paul Britton and family joined Claude Taylor’s gathering, and Olive Crane and friends attended a party at Ford Beard’s. Visitors to Mrs. Claude Taylor last week included several local women and two children.
Tanner Miss Alene Hord is on the sick list this week. Sherman Cox of Cincinnati was in our town Friday. Oscar Long was in town on business Wednesday. Mrs. Ruth Combs is able to be up part of the time. Herbert Slinkard of Bloomfield was here Tuesday. Miss Stella Hardisty staying at Mrs. Ruth Combs. Miss Stella Hardisty called on Alene Hord Friday. James Foddrill called on H. K. Collins Sunday evening. H. K. Collins transacted business at Cincinnati Friday. James Foddrill called on Ray Moffett Thursday evening. Mrs. Alice Fuller called on Mrs. Charles Hord Saturday. Tom Martindale called on his sister Mrs. Oscar Long Friday. Roy and Clyde Sullivan called at James Foddrill's Friday. Mrs. Dorothy Foddrill called on Florence Shields Monday. N. B. Hardisty made a business trip to Bloomfield Friday. Several from here attended church at Cincinnati Sunday night. Reports indicate the child Clarence Heaton is dangerously ill requiring care. Rev. Wyant and wife did some papering in the area last week. Albert Franklin and family visited his parents, T. L. Franklin and wife Wilbur Franklin traveled to Indiana polis and returned with a Ford. There was preaching at Bethel on Sunday morning and night by Rev. Wyant. Rev. John F. Dyer and son Frank were at their farm north of Worthington last week. Mrs. William Watson and her son Wayne visited her brother Merritt Mitten Thursday afternoon.
