Rev. George Kemp of the Church of God near Union Bethel and his sister Mrs. Eva Resler were killed when their car was struck by a Lake Shore train at a Kendallville street crossing. Fulton Exonerated After Mob Threats At Vincennes
William Fulton a brakeman on the I W road faced mob threats after Everett Bland was killed when ejected from a Vin cennes bound train. Conductor Turner spoke to the crowd and Fulton gave his account supported by eye witnesses. Bland allegedly boarded intoxicated and fell under the wheels during the stop then reboarding attempt.
