Orchid Culture and Rug Weaving Mark Mrs Rostad Life
Mrs Rostad blends orchid culture with rug weaving, crafting around 30 rugs for eight children and sixteen grandchildren. Born Susanna Ellingson in Minnesota, she joined the Melville Norwegian settlement era of 1881, preserving heirlooms, china, a petticoat panel, and a mustache cup while sleeping in the bed bought after her marriage.
