Suction Pump Arrives For Hospital At Community Clinic

The Community Clinic staff welcomed a new Comco suction and other pump with uses from spraying penicillin to clearing mucous in newborns. It will be displayed in the Montana Power office window this week despite the $165 cost, with $149 donated by groups including Past Chief's and Legion Auxiliary. The hospital also thanks donors for Christmas gifts such as a scrapbook from the Pythian Sisters and a poinsettia plant from the Klindt family.

Top Teams To Meet Here Friday Night

The Montana Collegians of Missoula face the Sheridan Exporters here Friday in the second of a three game series after opening in Billings tonight. Star Bob Cope coaches the team with last year’s Montana State five. Cope scored 701 points in 31 games. The Exporters aim for this year’s state AAU title after narrowly losing to Phillips 66 and the Denver Chevrolets. A 7 15 p.m. preliminary features the American Legion and All-Stars.

Statewide budget requests far exceed state funds

Montana state agencies seek 57.9 million for 1951-53, nearly triple 1947 appropriations of 21 million, with custodial institutions and public schools leading the list. The Taxpayer study says revenue shortfalls persist, urging a balanced budget without tax increases and a rigid need-and-afford test.

Marriage Notice of Hope Bromfield and Bob Stevens

Word was received here of the marriage of Hope Bromfield of Lucas Ohio to Bob Stevens son of Mr and Mrs Robert L Stevens of Plainsfield New Jersey. The event took place Saturday December 23 in Lucas Ohio. The Stevens are owners of the American Fork ranch.
