Elizabeth Michels Dies in Helena
Elizabeth C Michels 69 longtime Big Timber resident who moved to Helena in 1939 died at St John s hospital Helena after a 10 day stay. Requiem mass was at St Helena cathedral with rosary last night burial in Resurrection cemetery. She was born Aug 21 1881 Fond du Lac Wisconsin and came to Montana in 1889 with her parents. Survivors include son William Michels daughter Mary Michels two sisters Mrs T F Madden Mrs S J Everett and two brothers George and John Pauly plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs Susanna Rostad widow of George Rostad, after raising eleven children, now tends orchids brought from Honduras by her son Ora. The collection includes a bull orchid and a yellow spotted variety hung in boxes, with two plants needing special care.
