Subdivision OK Stands but Ordinance Needs Work
Kennebunk reports a planning board approved minor subdivision by John Downing, with ongoing questions about zoning ordinance provisions. Former inspector McNiff refused a building permit citing erroneous board approval. Some say the tract may not be a subdivision, as parts were conveyed to Downing’s relatives and two lots remain for sale, under farm and forest zoning requiring three-acre lots.
