21 Candidates Seek Ironwood City Posts in April Election
Nominating petitions were filed by 21 candidates for three city commission seats and three supervisors at large in Ironwood. Incumbents Garvey, Ravey Jr., and Stenholm seek re election, with elections set for April 8. Supervisors at large, two four year commission terms, and one two year term are on the ballot. Other candidates include Williams Shea Bulinski Nadolney Schneider Runstrom Syrjala McDonald Laabs Ohman Trezise Eddy and Stenholm for commissioner and Sawyer Keeton Collins Marander Sanderson Woodward for supervisors. Oscar Landstrom Buried After Heart Attack Death
Funeral services for Oscar Landstrom, who died last Friday from a heart attack, were held Tuesday afternoon at the C. W. Moore funeral home with Rev. F. B. Eastman officiating. Burial followed at Hillrest cemetery. Landstrom, born in Sweden, had lived at the Paul Peterson farm north of Bessemer for 21 years and was a resident of Bessemer for 38 years.

Fort Brady Chief to Speak at Bessemer Dinner Meeting

John Thors, longtime Bessemer resident, dies at home
John Thors 1861 1924 Finland born pioneer of Bessemer died at home after yearlong illness from kidney disease and arterial hardening. He came to the U.S. at 23, worked on railroads, then in Colby mines, farming, and logging. Founder of Runeberg lodge and S F N F member. He married Ulrika Goss in 1888. golden wedding last year. Survived by widow, two sons and three daughters.
